The mission of The Rotary Foundation is to enable Rotarians to advance
world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of
health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty.

The Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation supported solely by voluntary
contributions from Rotarians and friends of the Foundation who share its vision
of a better world"

From the number one goals of the eradication of polio to disaster recovery
worldwide, the programs and grants of the Rotary Foundation are changing
the world. The programs and grants can finance a well for a village that lacks
clean water, improve the environment, or provide scholarships to educate
the next generation.

The Rotary Foundation

The Foundation Committee of The Rotary Club of Naperville develops and implements a plan
to support The Rotary Club of Naperville, its members and the Foundation through program
participation and financial contributions.  "Foundation" refers to The Rotary Foundation which is
connected to Rotary International and is a Foundation that funds programs worldwide.

Responsibilities

1. Educate Club members about the Foundation and related Club, District and Foundation goals.

2. Encourage Club members to participate in Foundation programs and support the Foundation
financially.

3. Work toward achieving the Club’s Foundation goals for the coming year.

Current Initiatives

Every Rotarian Every Year (EREY) & Paul Harris Society Sustaining Member

EREY is a program through the Rotary Foundation that provides the opportunity for every
member of our Club to donate $100 per year to go to various projects worldwide the Rotary
Foundation sponsors.
Our Club's goal is for every member of our Club to be an EREY

If you want to become an EREY or want more information contact any committee member.

Paul Harris Society Sustaining Member

This program through the Rotary Foundation gives a member of our club the opportunity to donate
$1,000 per year to The Rotary Foundation and become a sustaining member.  We have members
of our club who have made this commitment and would like to invite others to become sustaining
members!!!  If you would like information about this program, contact any committee member.

Paul Harris Recognition Event

The Rotary Club of Naperville is a 100% Paul Harris Club. It is a significant honor to be a
Paul Harris Fellow, and to be eligible, a Club member must contribute $1,000 to the
Rotary Foundation. The pin that accompanies this honor is recognized throughout the rotary world
and immediately identifies someone who is committed to the Rotary Foundation’s worldwide mission.
This is an outstanding accomplishment made possible through a matching fund program from
Naperville Rotary Charities.

Each year The Rotary Club of Naperville recognizes those in our Club who have donated to the
Rotary Foundation and others in our community who exemplify the value of service above self.

To learn more, please talk to any Rotary Club Foundation committee member or
go to the Rotary International web site.
