Membership Drive – Membership Committee Chair, John Knobloch, announced that the Club will pick up the $15 lunch bill for invited guests during March.  This is your chance to invite a potential future Rotarian to lunch without incurring the normal $15 charge for a guest’s lunch.  There are many, many opportunities for service in our community and around the world.  Although our Club is comprised of an outstanding group of individuals dedicated to service, more help is needed.  Invite a friend, acquaintance, business associate, customer, etc. who would make a great Rotarian to lunch!

March 4 – District 203 students will deliver a presentation titled “Microfinance & Hunger.”

Scott Mitchell is chairing the Foundation Committee for our club.  The Foundation Committee encourages every member to become either a Paul Harris Sustaining Member or a member of the Every Rotarian Every Year Club. You are encouraged to join Club members who have already become Paul Harris Society members with the intention of donating $1,000 annually to the Paul Harris Foundation.  Your donation can be a cash donation or, alternatively, a gift of stock.  In the latter case, you can deduct the appreciated value of the stock while preparing your income taxes, avoiding any capital gains taxes on the stock.  If $1,000 does not fit into your annual charity budget, consider joining the Every Rotarian Every Year Club by becoming a $100 per year Paul Harris sustaining member.  Remember, gifts to the Paul Harris Foundation are a very efficient way to make charitable contributions.  Every dollar you contribute will directly benefit a needy person or cause. Club Administrator, Erin O’Donnell, has forms for the Paul Harris Society program that can be filled out and returned to Erin.  Let Erin know if you plan to join the Every Rotarian Every Year initiative by having $50 added to your dues semi-annually.
