Naperville Rotary Donates Ambulance / Video Update
Date: Thursday, May 07, 2009

Behind the scenes there are many members that work tirelessly to do good.

It is with the help of those that are aware of what is going on around them and those that can act when asked. To that end we have been able to donate

an ambulance to Hardin County, one of the poorest counties in Illinois, so poor that the simple requirement of emergency services take over 1.5 hours for an ambulance to arrive.

With the assistance of many Naperville Rotarians, a local business, not a Rotarian, we have been able to donate an equipped ambulance to these folks in need. I can not tell you how great this makes me feel and how proud I am of our Naperville Rotarians!

I thank those Rotarians, the Naperville Fire Department and the Naperville City Council.

In this video you see the initial presentation of the ambulance to 4 Sheriffs deputies from Hardin County at Naperville's Key Wester restaurant, for transport down to Hardin County.
